Please join us for a kid-free night out where we will cook up some specialty brats from Grundhofers Old Fashioned Meats (which offers 50 different flavors of brats), homemade sauerkraut, made from scratch giant pretzels, Colombian empanadas, and Tres Leches cake. We will also provide German beer and wine accompanied by a riveting game of Hammerschlagen (a hammer/nail game). Held on Saturday, October 10, 2015 at 6 p.m. at the Kinsman's home in Wyoming. 10 person maximum. $40 per person.

Essential Oil Make & Take Party (August 8, 2015)

Come relax with friends while you create four different Young Living essential oil mixtures to bring home. You will mix a basic household cleaner, stress relief spray, lemon sugar body scrub, and an anti-itch/bug bite relief roll on. There will be light snacks and an oil bar (flavor-your-own water). Held on Saturday, August 8, 2015, from 10:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. at the Martinez's home (Sarah Daggett's sister) in Chanhassen. 10 person maximum. $30 per person.

All-Ages Family Kick Ball and Soccer Event (October 4, 2015)

Looking for a way to support FANA as a family? Join us this fall for an all-ages family soccer and kickball event! The games will be casual and friendly. Drinks and snacks will be served. Because this event is a also a great way to continue to build our FOF MN community, we want to welcome as many families as possible. The more the merrier! Please note: We will hold the event even if it's a bit chilly and/or rainy. If the weather is severe and prohibitive, however, we will unfortunately not be able to reschedule. FANA kiddos and their friends are invited to pottery painting party at Grey Fox Pottery in Northeast Minneapolis. Receive a $10 credit towards the project of your choice and have a blast getting artsy and creating something fabulous! Snacks and refreshments will be provided for parents and painters alike! Beer Tasting & Tutorial at Northern Brewer (September 29th, 2015)

Homebrewing has come a long way since being legalized by President Jimmy Carter in 1979. Northern Brewer is the nation’s largest online homebrew supplier. Come join founder, president and CEO Chris Farley for a beer tasting, instruction and Q&A opportunity at the newly renovated Northern Brewer warehouse in Roseville (Highway 36, West Roseville, MN). Sample fabulous local beers, learn about brewing, nosh on munchies, and relax with FANA friends. Hosted by Chris Farley and Paula Guerra and John and Stephanie Galarneault. Colombian Cooking Demonstration (November 2, 2015)

Join local chefs Joe Marzullo and Jeff Svendall of Breaking Bread for a cooking demonstration and light sampling of a Colombian meal. Learn how to make delicious Sopa de Frijoles Negros with Sweet plantains and Avocado cream and Pulled Pork with Tropical Slaw. The event will be hosted in a large, comfy kitchen in St. Paul by John and Stephanie Galarneault. Held on November 2, 2015 6:00 pm. 10 person maximum. $40 per person.

Handmade Card Party (September 27, 2015)

Have you ever wanted to make handmade cards but didn’t know where to begin? In the end finding yourself at the store paying $4.00 for one card? If so, this is for you. Sarah Christopherson, FANA mom, will provide the designs, the directions, the paper, envelopes, all necessary supplies, and even food. You simply have to put the cards together. In the end you will leave with 15 handmade cards (3 each of 5 different designs) and coordinating envelopes. Held September 27, 2015 at 2:00pm at the Christopherson home. 10 Person maximum. $40 Per person.

Jewelry Party for Kids (February 6, 2016)

Using bright, colorful beads and charms, create unique and fun jewelry. First, kids can make their own beading mats from felt, adhesive fabric ribbon, and felt stickers. Then attendees will create two bracelets from professional-quality beads and supplies and instructions. A pair of pre-made coordinating earrings completes the ensemble. Munchies provided. Children’s Home Society and Lutheran Social Service will present information about how to work with and talk to your adopted children about difficult issues; specific topics will include talking to your child about their birth family and adoption history, international search & reunion, and birth family connections in the time of social media. We will also engage in a group discussion of specific situations that families have faced to share solutions, support, and encouragement.
